The bite was small, considering the size of the creature it had come from-- almost dainty. Just two small holes; though the angry red area around it covered the entire width of his wrist. Joshua couldn't suppress the terror he felt, looking at it; only his girlfriend's arm around his back kept him from completely losing his shit.

He'd gone out behind his house to take out the trash, knocked over a can lid, and reached back between the trash cans to get it, and... his hand had gotten stuck.

It hadn't hurt. It felt like he was just caught on something. Although he heard a movement, thought he had heard a movement, wondered for a moment what it would be like to be bitten by a raccoon, if he'd startled one back there. Or maybe a stray cat-- an adorable furry creature that was just looking for some affection and a bit of food. He really should
