The residents of Dallas have seen the world change drastically overnight. The Sun has ruptured causing a change in the world that no one has ever seen. With this catastrophic event, humanity soon realized for the first time that there were other beings among them. The Vazzul wasted no time taking advantage of their new freedom in the daylight.

Jonah Derven, after seeing his sister die, was recruited to be a part of SEVDIV; an organization that has its own hidden secrets. His former Marine Corps commanding officer, Captain Marcus Furlough, revealed to Jonah that he is more than just a man. He must now take the fight to the Vazzul like the New Humans before him had done.

Abraham, Samantha and Peter are no longer the kids we were first introduced to. Their bracelets have sequenced amazing abilities in each of them to aid in the war against the Vazzul and Day 8 mutations.

Abraham now gives his own personal record of the events that have led to the war. The Day 8 mutations have begun and they are becoming an even greater threat than the Vazzul.

"I can’t have any others now. My three are complete. Samantha you are my last and you’re beautiful. You are Mommy’s angel. And now the future lies with you and what I pass on to you now. This is your birthright as a female of our kind. You will have three children of your own. And when you do my sweet angel, I hope neither of you will have to see the world as it truly is.

Your brothers will protect you until it’s your time to protect them. Abraham … you and your beautiful brown eyes … you will be a great leader. Peter, you have the cutest little nose I’ve ever seen. The two of you are sworn, as brothers, to always protect your sister. It is your duty to her. I know you’re all much too young to understand what Mommy is saying but your bonds will be eternal.

Mommy has three special gifts I need to give to you all now. These three bracelets you must never lose. They will be yours forever and ever and they will make you all even more special. I made them just for you."

I have crafted the three bracelets from my heritage for Abraham, Peter and Samantha. I made them as my mother did for me and my brothers. They were crafted from a unique alloy and infused with the blood of the most sacred of our lineage. Each bracelet is to be paired with a child twice in our lives as a New Human; once at birth and once when we reach our 19th year.

When a child is born, the bracelet is put on their wrist and it pairs to them. It is a syncing between the child and the bracelet. It becomes marked with a specific sequence only meant for the one born to it. None other may wear it.

When the pairing is over and the bracelet is removed, the process of marking begins. It is when the stone capsules appear. The number of stones on a bracelet is based on the potential of each child and his or her e-DNA. All New Humans have an e-DNA; an evolving DNA. It is able to be rewritten and improved and as a result it becomes more unique within us. Some children have an e-DNA that allows them to sequence higher than others and gain more abilities.

Those of us who sequence higher than our brothers or sisters are called Allos by our elders. It’s a Greek word that means other or different. I suppose we were indeed different. Most New Human females sequence higher than males so I wasn’t surprised to see my Samantha’s pairing produce more stones than her brothers. Her bracelet revealed five stones. Abraham’s pairing produced four and Peter only three. Samantha is the first to have been paired and sequenced at five in years.

I only hope that she is able to control her powers and learns what it is to be an Allos amongst New Humans. As her mother, I am excited to know what her catalysts will be. Our evolution in ability is based on our experiences when we wear the bracelets. We call the experiences that
