Chapter One: Introduction
Imran Khan was born Imran Khan Niazi on 25th of November, 1952 in Lahore, Pakistan. He was born in a Punjabi speaking Pathan family.
Imran is one of the most successful Pakistani cricket captains. Under his captaincy Pakistan won the world cup in 1992. Now he is the leader of a political party in Pakistan with a view to bring changes in the Pakistani society.
Having played international cricket for more than twenty years, he retired from the game and entered politics.

Every Pakistani feels proud of Imran Khan’s achievements. He is the country’s most successful cricket captain. He led his team to victory at the 1992 Cricket World Cup final.
He represented the Pakistani cricket team for about twenty years from 1971 to 1992. Between 1982 and 1992 he captained the Pakistani team intermittently.
Imran had officially announced his retirement from International cricket at the end of the 1987 World Cup in 1988, but the popular demand by the public and on being requested by the President of Pakistan, he agreed to lead the Pakistani team once again.
