Description

Over the years, Mike Coward has seen everything that has has happened in Australian cricket. Most importantly he has seen the Australian cricket emerging from the lows of mid-1980s, heights of Allan Border's captaincy and the rise to being world champion. He was one of the few who witnessed the Tied Test of 1986 at Madras (as Chennai was called then) and the 1987 World Cup. He has a special affinity for India and was a champion of the cause of stronger cricketing ties between the two countries. Chennai holds a special place in his heart.
