About this ebook
Writers and speakers love words. Communicators recognize that even the power of one word can change, inspire, comfort, teach, and literally and through literal means, change lives. The Great Communicator is a devotional book that will nourish Christian speakers and writers' faith by their reflections on one-word descriptions of God as the Great Communicator.
This book is unique in its use of Bible verses to describe God as a communicator. Some words are familiar (creator, poet and messenger) and others are surprising (editor, blogger, and broadcaster). After all, He has been a best seller, created a classic and is sought after for communication for centuries. What better role model do we have?
Discover the numerous ways God communicates. Be inspired to model God's communication. Grow deeper in your own faith by seeing God in a new light. Learn from the Great Communicator.

Introduction
I didn’t plan on becoming a communicator. Public speaking never entered my mind as a way of serving God. I did love writing, but along that path when I was a teenager I felt God calling me first into nursing.
In my early 20’s, no one in our local service group would volunteer to take part in a nearby speaking contest. Shrugging my shoulders I said I would try.
I won.
Then I won the district contest. Then the regional. And you got it: I came in first at the state competition.
Me, a speaker? I didn’t see that coming. And what fun I had. This new found role as a communicator was pleasurable and empowering. I could make a difference in the lives of others and maybe draw them closer to God through my words.
Later God gave me opportunities to use the written word too.
Yet I had a lot to learn. I read books on writing and speaking. I attended conferences. I found the experts. I looked to others as role models. These more knowledgeable and experienced people taught me much in the communication field.
But I never studied God as a communicator. He is the Great Communicator. What a role model for us to follow.
So I invite you to come along with me as I explore what God can show us as He reveals Himself in the different aspects of communication. Let’s wonder what God would do as a blogger. What would we learn studying God as a presenter? I wonder what new insights we could find imagining God as an agent?
I didn’t plan on becoming a communicator. But God had that in mind. Now He invites all of us to learn from Him – the Great
