After having spent fifteen years far away from his hometown, Mario Wilkinson finally decided to go back to West Virginia. He was brought up in Summersville, the town where his own true love lived. The love he was forced to leave, but whom he never succeeded to forget and had no intention of ever stop loving.

Even Elizabeth Davidson was brought up in Summersville and it's where she still live with her own daughter Marybeth. For her, the child was a very precious treasure, as she was a living proof of the love, which once belonged to Beth. Today, she was the owner of a small diner, which was situated behind Summersville Lake. A lake, which meant a lot to her, as it, will always bring many memories. Memories of friendship, love, happiness, separation, and betrayal.

This story is about two lovers who were separated, but brought back together after having spent fifteen years living in different countries, during which, they led separate lives thinking of one another. In fact, this story shows that when it's true love, everything is possible. Here we see how two lovers are separated for a very long period during which their love kept living in their hearts. A love, which always remained as powerful as ever.

    Prologue

He felt very happy while driving through the streets of Summersville. It had changed a lot since his departure and Mario felt as if he was a stranger in his own hometown. He then decided to go to the lake, which was the favorite place of his love. It was a surprise to see that the little diner was still there and as it was years ago. He wondered if the owner was still the same and if she ever came to the diner. On the inside, the diner was as if he always remembered and on entering, Mario felt as if time stopped and that he was back to those days when he used to come and meet his Beth. Suddenly, there she was, beautiful as always walking towards him.

    Good afternoon Sir!

    Beth? asked he surprised.

    Sorry?

Excuse me, said Mario as he was brought back to reality. Forgive me my dear, but you remind me of someone I knew long time ago, said he on sitting at a nearby table.

    What can I bring you?

    A cup of coffee please!

Yes sir, said the young lady as she walked towards the counter.

Mario couldn't help looking at her. She was so beautiful and reminded him of the love he had lost. He couldn't understand why, but she resembled his Beth. It was as if he was looking at her living picture. ‘God,’ thought he sadly, ‘please, give me the chance to see her again, even if for just one second! I miss her terribly!’ Suddenly, he saw the jukebox where they used to sit, chat, and dream of a future lifetime together. However, suddenly he remembered the day when he was forced to say goodbye to his beloved Beth, the day when he broke a promise he had made to her.

Is something wrong sir? asked the young waitress worriedly as she put his coffee on the table.

No I'm fine, thanks. It's just that this place reminds me of someone and the happy memories which we used to share together. So, said Mario as he took a sip from his coffee, is Mr. Willie Jefferson still the owner?

No, he died ten years ago!

Died? asked Mario sad and surprised at the same time.

    Did you know him sir?

He was like a father for me!

    You used to live here?

Yes, but I left fifteen years ago.

You must have missed it here! said the young waitress as she took out her notebook.

"In fact I did, but most of all I've missed this place. Here
