About this ebook

Nirvana has been a primeval quest of human kind. In this journey several names have been assigned to this ultimate goal; Moksha, eternal bliss, transcendence, and enlightenment among others, all referring to the same condition of everlasting joy that humankind is striving for. Great thinkers have spent thousands of hours and tremendous amount of brainpower seeking this elusive state of being. Yet, the common man is no closer to Nirvana than he was since the beginning of spiritual exploration.
I have come across many people, both friends and strangers who have mentioned that in spite of being happy on most occasions, they sensed a lacuna of contentment and continuous bliss in their lives. Satiation of almost all material wants was not enough to make them feel blessed. There are also those who find themselves in a dilemma when they doubt their action towards fulfilling a certain want or desire. When faced with such choices, questions of moral righteousness and consequences plague their minds and thoughts
Not anymore! As you assimilate the awareness that this book generates, you will be equipped with tools that will enable you to distinguish between Desires and Wants. Practising this thought process will move you from moments of Happiness to a Life of Bliss, Right Here and Right Now. Yes! You can be a Buddha too!

From the author:I have grown up in India and traveled most of my childhood thanks to my father's postings in the military.I owe my upbringing to my mother, a teacher.I am married to an artist, Aparajita Jain, for whose unwavering love and support I am eternally grateful. I am a Management Consultant by profession, and a philosopher by passion. I employ Socrates' mode of discovery and Spinoza's thought of Divine extension in everything in nature. I enjoy reading literature that evokes logical reasoning and a similar scientific approach can be sensed in my writing. However, I am not a philosophy historian, which most students of philosophy end up becoming. I quote great philosophers to present them to the readers but I do not use their conclusions to validate my proposed thought. I believe in continuous evolution of thought and spirituality. I would like my readers to focus their attentions more on the process of reasoning that I apply in my writing and less on the outcome. My work would be deemed successful if it guides the reader towards self realization of answers to his doubts. The answer may conform with my conclusions or may not. I am comfortable and pleased with either result. I strive to make topics of philosophy and spirituality more accessible to common people. The answers lie right here, within the eco-system that we live in. It does not require extraordinary efforts to seek them, but a disciplined and well guided method of reasoning.
