If one desires to share one’s compatriots’ waste product, one is welcome to it.” Mr Polidorou had never enjoyed the annual family vacation by the sea. But suffer it as a martyr he did, save for the perpetual stream of complaints issued from his mouth as he sought refuge under the diminishing shade. Lito Apostolakou

Lito is an historian, freelance writer and blogger. She has studied Modern Greek and Contemporary European History in Athens and London and holds an M.A. from Queen Mary College and a Ph.D. from King’s College London.
