About this ebook

In this simple, short and inspiring book, ‘Wale Akinwumi and Juddie Passion reveal the faithfulness and unparalleled love of the purpose driven God; His abundant mercies and uncommon grace.
This is the true story of a young man who came face to face with death in a fatal auto accident that claimed four lives; he died twice and was raised by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit. A man full of uncommon grace; he went down the valley of the shadow of death and feared no evil, had his skull fractured into a gully six inches from the frontal bone of his forehead to the parietal bone across the suture and along the superior line of his head.
The gully on his head was about four to five inches deep and miraculously had no injury to his brain. The open wound had so many pieces of broken metal that kept the doctors wondering why this man should live after all.
Doctors were more shocked that this man still had enough blood running in his veins and needed no transfusion for surgery after bleeding continuously from the head for more than four hours.
What then can we say to these; other than that he is truly a man with an uncommon grace who was saved for a purpose by the God of purpose.

    ABOUT THE AUTHORS

    FOREWORD

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath beforehand ordained that we should walk in them" (Eph.1:10).

Many folks are plowing water and shoveling smoke. They are living to exist and existing to live, but they do not have a purpose for life. I strongly believe, and I am fully persuaded that for everyone created by God, there is a well-defined purpose.

Finding and fulfilling the purpose is, however, a different matter. Those who have found theirs, and seek to fulfill them daily realize that there is no greater joy or satisfaction than doing what one is created to do on earth. If a man gets born-again, he should count himself highly favored and close to the discovery and realization of his purpose. I am so glad to say with conviction, that my friend and brother, whose story is chronicled in this book, had found his purpose and is living it, for the freedom that Jesus gives is not freedom to do what we want, but the freedom to do as it pleases the Lord, always remembering that this one life will soon be past; but only what’s done for Christ and humanity will last.

Again, experience has shown severally that some people are here on this side of eternity on a special assignment. God will do anything to bring such people to the point of discovering their assignments, even allowing them to pass through the valley of the shadow of death, as He did in the case of Pastor Akinwumi.

Beneficiaries of uncommon grace are usually destined to carry out uncommon assignments and perform uncommon exploits. Now, if you base your faith and theology on the negatives circumstances in your life, you will soon come to the conclusion that God does not love you. But true followers of Christ know that all things ultimately work together for their good according to the word of God.

And He will also do anything to keep them alive to fulfill their destinies, for so many lives, dreams, hopes, aspirations and destinies are attached to them. Whatever has been decreed by heaven cannot be annulled by hell. And until you fulfill your purpose, you are not permitted to die.

This is the kernel of the testimony contained in this book; and it’s a clear encouragement and assurance to somebody going through what appears to be the death of their dream, calling and ministry right now. God has need of you, and will step into the fiery furnace to recue you, if needs be. That Pastor Wale Akinwumi is deeply involved in ministry work and is being used in God’s mighty hands is hardly a surprise to those of us who have known him for this number of years. He is simply living to please the One who gave him a new life, as you would read in this book shortly.

Unfortunately, not many people ever realize that they are spared for a reason. In the process of time, they discover that they have taken the grace of God in vain. Such folks can consider this book a wake-up call from the Lord, for time really is of essence and waits for no man. Every day spent outside of the will of God, is a day wasted. From the account of the testimony contained in this book, you will get to know that as it happened in the days of old, it is still possible to walk through fire and not get burned.

As you read along, I pray that you shall also be a beneficiary of God’s uncommon grace (God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense) in every area of your life. That is the tonic you need to run your race, so you don’t end it all in disgrace.

    Be blessed.

    PREFACE

This is a true story of unusual grace, extraordinary mercy and undiluted faith. It was an uncommon grace, a rare favor, an unexplainable mercy and blessing that transcends human reasoning. It was not an everyday grace and was not for everyone; it was just for a chosen, blessed, special and privileged young man. He came face-to-face with death on that fateful day in October, 2002.

On two occasions in two years and in the same month of October he experienced two very serious auto accidents; one, mysterious and the other, fatal. The first one was like a warning on his life but the latter was actually to become his doom. But he fought death fiercely and ferociously, and won by the grace of God. He proved to death through the help of the Holy Spirit that he was not a cheap article to be acquired in a hurry. Today, he is a living testimony. The story moves him to tears each time he reminisces on it, he has therefore decided to have it published in order to build the faith and shape the minds of all that read it.

Many others that were opportune to hear this uncommon story were also not left out of the tear-shedding bug. It must be noted however, that one thing that brought him back to life and also kept him alive was that, he never gave up. He trusted in his God, believing that the Almighty will not suffer the righteous to see corruption. The story is about an uncommon grace that could only be given by the Supernatural. Even when he refused to heed the many warnings and salient signs that were to warn him of the impending danger, he was saved at the last minute by the grace of God. Grace abounds for all who believe in the God of grace.

The grace of God is mostly applicable when one does not merit a particular favor, when one has actually derailed and is a lawful captive. When one is serving a penalty that he or she deserves and is miraculously pardoned, or when a man gets the rewards he had not labored for - that is a demonstration of God’s grace.

The story is an exposé of resilience, faith and eternal hope in the supernatural combined. It teaches us to never surrender or concede to our unfavorable
