Author

Bishop Greg Nies Sr., Th.D.

In 1990, Reverend Greg and Terri Nies were called by God to form New Beginnings Fellowship. They started this mission on the foundation of the Word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Acts 26:17-18 (NIV) “I am sending you to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light...”The Foundation...Greg attended Oral Roberts University, where he took bible studies. The earlier years of Greg’s walk with God were very active as God had him moving in the Holy Spirit. In 1982, Greg received a word of knowledge from a friend, Ralph Nault, to go check out the 700 Club. After talking with the 700 Club, Greg became a phone counselor and recruiter, where he met his future wife, Terri. Terri and Greg were married on April 23, 1983.In the mid 1980’s, Greg and Terri started Cutting Edge Ministries, through which they did prison seminars (starting with the help of Dallas and Linda Strom) and prison marriage seminars. In April 1990, they had their son, Daniel, who went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 1990. At 2 1⁄2 months old, Daniel died of SIDS.During this time, by the grace of God, the Holy Spirit brought Greg and Terri closer together in a special way. Their prayer and fellowship with Jesus Christ held them together and eventually was the basis of their future ministry to couples in prison and to couples who had lost a child to death. The Lord Jesus opened up the ministry of healing hearts to Greg and Terri after Daniel’s death. In 1990, Greg was ordained as a pastor after working in several churches with Terri. Soon after, Pastors Greg and Terri started New Beginnings Fellowship.By 2006, Greg and Terri have ministered through marriage seminars, prison seminars, community outreaches, bible studies, Holy Spirit seminars, discipleship, inner healing classes, planting churches in India and Africa, prayer and power evangelism. Greg and Terri recently received their Doctoral of Theology from Grace Theological College and Seminary. They are Founders of Cutting Edge Ministries, Senior Pastors of New Beginnings Fellowship, and spiritual parents to many.

    Preface

This is another step in the spiritual walk of Greg Nies Sr. God has been leading him into the spiritual realm and has given him spiritual insights. He has written over thirty books relaying his time in Heaven and Hell, his personal testimony in My Journey Through Time and numerous devotionals including From My Heart to Yours, as well as a children’s book entitled, Johns Travels. Today, we walk with Greg as he takes us into the world of the Christian life.

    Introduction

There is a constant battle for every person alive. It rages between Satan and Jesus and it will lead them into victory in the Spiritual Realm or the Natural Realm. ONLY by the victory in the Spiritual realm will we get to heaven for eternity. In the meantime, we are to live a life that is holy and separated unto Jesus. Our enemy, Satan, knows that and seeks to mislead, divert, discourage and lie to us to get us off track. He knows that the only way he can hurt God, is to get us to give up on God and heaven. Here we will observe the results of an average life, starting with the end and going back to see what really happened, and the results of the decisions that were made.

    Gospel of John

    John 1:12 (KJV)

"But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

There is an anointed power that God gave to us that enables us to become sons of God. It is so special and unique that no other creation has been given this ability. To become sons of God puts us closer to God than all other creation. We are so blessed to have been given this ability, and what we have to do is believe on His name. As we are obedient to do what He told us to do, we will be transformed and changed into His image.

We will never be the same and we will live a new life. Then as we go through life, we will be able, by the power of His name, to not only live by His Spirit, but we will experience the holy life that we were meant to live.

    Thank You, Jesus

    John 3:8 (KJV)

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth; so is every one that is bornof the spirit."

The Holy Spirit cannot be controlled or manipulated. He leads all people to Jesus, and moves gently, yet very powerfully upon everyone He touches. When you experience His presence and anointing you are changed forever. We have to realize that the movement of the Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit empowered individuals is beyond the natural realm.

    Thank You, Jesus

    John 3:12 (KJV)

"If I have told you earthly things, and ye believeth not, how shall ye believe, if I Tell you of heavenly things?"

We all tend to live life with a touchy-feely type of relationship. Not everything is that way, and we have to see beyond the immediate and the physical. There are more levels and depths to life, and we are not limited to one level.

We have to see the larger picture, and we need to have insight. Jesus was warning the disciples that they had to have faith in what He was telling them, and they had to trust Him.

    Thank You, Jesus

    John 3:19 (KJV)

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

Deceit reigns in the world today and many lives are affected by it. People seem to like darkness rather than light, because they are not being truthful. They want to hide what they know is illegal, and use it for illegal purposes. They think it is their right to do this, and they refuse to acknowledge that it is wrong. God is very clear that we are to be people of the light who walk in the light.

    Thank You, Jesus

    John 3:21 (KJV)

"But he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

When we choose to walk in truth we are choosing to walk in the light. We are not concerned or ashamed that our deeds will be shown clearly in the light. We also realize that if we are walking in truth, then we are choosing to walk in the truth of God. Our deeds are known of God and are not hidden from Him. Man can only see them while they are in the light.

Thank You, Jesus, for the light

    John 4:13 (KJV)

"Jesus answered and said unto Her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again."

At this particular point, Jesus was relating the natural and the spiritual. We tend to look to the natural for all of our input and support. It is true that we do need some physical nourishment otherwise we would die, especially since we are made mostly of water. But if we listen and hear the truth of the matter, Jesus was telling her that if we only rely on the natural, we will die spiritually. It is essential that we have the spiritual input and intake to survive. If we choose to get spiritual drinks of water (from the Word of God), then we will have what we critically need to
