Author

Bishop Greg Nies Sr., Th.D.

In 1990, Reverend Greg and Terri Nies were called by God to form New Beginnings Fellowship. They started this mission on the foundation of the Word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Acts 26:17-18 (NIV) “I am sending you to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light...”The Foundation...Greg attended Oral Roberts University, where he took bible studies. The earlier years of Greg’s walk with God were very active as God had him moving in the Holy Spirit. In 1982, Greg received a word of knowledge from a friend, Ralph Nault, to go check out the 700 Club. After talking with the 700 Club, Greg became a phone counselor and recruiter, where he met his future wife, Terri. Terri and Greg were married on April 23, 1983.In the mid 1980’s, Greg and Terri started Cutting Edge Ministries, through which they did prison seminars (starting with the help of Dallas and Linda Strom) and prison marriage seminars. In April 1990, they had their son, Daniel, who went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 1990. At 2 1⁄2 months old, Daniel died of SIDS.During this time, by the grace of God, the Holy Spirit brought Greg and Terri closer together in a special way. Their prayer and fellowship with Jesus Christ held them together and eventually was the basis of their future ministry to couples in prison and to couples who had lost a child to death. The Lord Jesus opened up the ministry of healing hearts to Greg and Terri after Daniel’s death. In 1990, Greg was ordained as a pastor after working in several churches with Terri. Soon after, Pastors Greg and Terri started New Beginnings Fellowship.By 2006, Greg and Terri have ministered through marriage seminars, prison seminars, community outreaches, bible studies, Holy Spirit seminars, discipleship, inner healing classes, planting churches in India and Africa, prayer and power evangelism. Greg and Terri recently received their Doctoral of Theology from Grace Theological College and Seminary. They are Founders of Cutting Edge Ministries, Senior Pastors of New Beginnings Fellowship, and spiritual parents to many.

    Preface

This is another step in the spiritual walk of Greg Nies Sr. God has been leading him into the spiritual realm and has given him spiritual insights. He has written over thirty books relaying his time in Heaven and Hell, his personal testimony in My Journey Through Time and numerous devotionals including From My Heart to Yours, as well as a children’s book entitled, Johns Travels. Today, we walk with Greg as he takes us into the world of the Christian life.

    Introduction

There is a constant battle for every person alive. It rages between Satan and Jesus and it will lead them into victory in the Spiritual Realm or the Natural Realm. ONLY by the victory in the Spiritual realm will we get to heaven for eternity. In the meantime, we are to live a life that is holy and separated unto Jesus. Our enemy, Satan, knows that and seeks to mislead, divert, discourage and lie to us to get us off track. He knows that the only way he can hurt God, is to get us to give up on God and heaven. Here we will observe the results of an average life, starting with the end and going back to see what really happened, and the results of the decisions that were made.

    Gospel of Mathew

    Matt 15:8 (KJV)

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me."

We are in a world of lip service and empty words. The hearts of the people today are far from the Lord and their words are empty and hollow. There is no meaning in those words spoken to the Lord. For they have chosen to only put empty words before God that have no real meaning to them. Rather they chose to use all their words on the flesh and on man in the natural way. To speak to God, we must have our hearts and whole being focused on Him. It is not a casual encounter or an easy matter to come before the Almighty Lord. Many come before Him with repetitive chanting. Jesus has already warned us about doing this very thing and that it won’t be honored by Him. So we have a decision to make, and that is one of obedience to the Word of God. We must decide if we are going to walk in obedience or not.

Thank you Jesus for reminding us to be obedient

    Matt 16:24 (KJV)

"Then said, Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Self is so important to everyone today. People are living for themselves and are focused on self-edification. Many people have lost their perspective and they are looking to build themselves up. God has told us that we are to let go of self and focus on Him. It is important to look to God for a different direction in life. If we humble ourselves and take self off of the throne of our hearts, we will live eternally. To come to God and to deny self is the most important decision that we can ever make.

Thank you Jesus for eternal direction

    Matt 18:18 (KJV)

"Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

This is a significant word from the Lord and it clearly states that we have a part in the whole process. It is not something that just happens by itself. Rather, we have to make a decision on what we want to happen. If we decide that we are binding something on earth, then it will also be bound in heaven. When we decide that we want so have something loosed on earth, then it will also be loosed in heaven. God has given us a method of power, connected to heaven and released with faith filled words through binding and loosing. Our decisions to bind and loose will have eternal ramifications and significant effects on our direction and destiny. We are significantly deciding the direction of things by our decisions for they will have eternal result.

Thank you Jesus for your gift and guidance

    Matt 19:24 (KJV)

"And again I say unto you. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

In today’s society people are more concerned about material possessions then their eternal destiny. Scripturally, in order to go through the eye of the needle, one would have bow low and strip themselves of all they were carrying. A camel would have to get down on its knees and take off his load to get through the eye of the needle. Once they were able to get through, then they could pick it up again. Man has to bow low in submission and get rid of all the natural things that they are carrying if they ever expect to get into the kingdom of God. This is a change in attitude from what is taught to many today. We now have to change our life style to go ahead in humbleness and surrender to the Lord

Thank you Jesus for this opportunity

    Matt 19:29 (KJV)

"And every one that hath forsaken house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."

Jesus calls us to come to Him fully and completely. We are to surrender all of ourselves and to give up everything earthly. This can seem like an extreme demand from Him in the natural. When we answer His call and do what He has asked us to do, we are going to find changes happening to us that are not too extreme in the spirit. Especially when you consider the promises He gives to us in response to our obedience. The blessings we get are far greater than the cost is to us. These are eternal blessings for eternal and everlasting life.

If we do all of this with the right heart and purpose to the Lord, then Jesus’ response is exceedingly above anything we could ever expect.

Thank you Jesus for your blessings!

    Matt 20:16 (KJV)

"So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen."

The Lord is speaking to all people and telling us that He has called us to serve. Everyone should walk in a true sense of humility and submission to the Lord. It is essential that all of God’s people gather together in the Name of the Lord in unity. If we were to go back to the original language, we would find that the correct interpretation really reads, Many are called, but few choose.

In other words, the Lord calls all people, but out of all the called, there are but a few that choose to answer the call of God. Many are walking around with the name of God on their lips, but have the devil in their heart and the world on their minds. It is time to change our direction to follow the Lord faithfully.

Thank You Jesus for calling us!

    Matt 20:27 (KJV)

"And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant."

There is a trend within the church where many people want to be served by others. They have decided that they want a system where ‘self’ is the most important thing to them. The world has established itself strongly in the church and the real question is, Who is leading the people?

Many give lip service to God while really living for the world. They sing songs, have drama and share worldly ideas without any Word.

Many people want to lead, but the Lord tells us that we are to be servants first before we can ever consider being chief. It is critical that we look to the truth of the Word, and the words of Jesus and walk in them. We have to balance our priorities to the Spirit of God and not the satisfaction of the flesh.

Thank you Jesus for opening our eyes!

    Matt 21:13 (KJV)

"And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves."

The time is here to make an eternal decision. The house of God has to be a house of prayer. In today’s world, the house of God has become everything else except the house of prayer. There are dramas, concerts, shows, meetings, and lastly God’s house of prayer. The time is here to turn it all around and back to where it started; prayer. The call of God to all His people is that we are to come back to Him in prayer. Then there will be the victories that we are all looking for in life. This is to be our place and our time to answer Him in prayer and give glory to God. Amen!

    Thank you Jesus

    Matt 21:21 (KJV)

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this, which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done."

There has been a spirit of doubt sent across the land by the devil. It is meant to destroy the believer’s focus and faith. The devil is trying to keep us from going ahead in Jesus. That is how subtle our enemy is in his methods. He will lead people into thinking that there is no hope and that everything is lost, but we have to refuse to accept those lies. We must determine and decide that we are not going to fail and have faith that God is with us and for us every day. We have and are walking in the victory that Jesus won for us 2,000 years ago. Standing in faith and knowing that we can walk like Jesus did, will give us the opportunity to rise up and walk in victory every day.

    Thank you Jesus

    Matt 21:22 (KJV)

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

All things include everything that is possible. There is nothing left out of order. We are to take and release all things to God in prayer. Our prayers are to be prayers of agreement. We are to be in agreement with our Lord and Savior, who has already declared His Victory in our lives. Our lives are an open book to Jesus and He is instructing us to give Him everything in prayer. The condition is that we have to believe. We can always pray for all things and still not believe that we are going to get an answer. But if we give Him anything in prayer believing, then we will receive the answer. Belief is a condition of prayer and faith is the ingredient.

    Thank you Jesus for guidance

    Matt 23:12 (KJV)

"And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."

Pride has taken over the world and the church. Many who were humble have become very prideful in what they know. They Lord it over others and use it to take advantage of them and to control them. This is not the way God intended it to go. We are to fill ourselves with the Word and become humble in this life. Then through that humility, we can become examples to others and that is what will lead them to Jesus. God will not let the prideful into heaven. He will humble them and bring them into proper order in this life. If they submit and surrender to God, then He can lift them up.

    Thank you Jesus
