…in other news, the 55-inch TV in the luxurious living room blared, the Weyre Civil Liberation Movement has been swiftly gaining momentum, despite loud protestations from human politicians and steep opposition in human polls.

Miss Redd Resahood rolled her pretty green eyes. She was sick of hearing about this topic constantly, for months and months it seemed; yet, for some reason, she was unable to curb her curiosity.

I must really be bored to be watching this nonsense, she thought wryly. She was slumped casually across the expensive chocolate kid-leather couch in the casual disregard that only a nineteen-year-old girl brought up in the lap of immense wealth and power could. Redd sighed in disgust, but her trigger-finger continued to only hover over the remote control button, as if by a will of its own.

Their armed and extremely dangerous leader is known to humans only as 'Mr. X,' the talking head droned on. He says he's the promised Liberator; traditional weyre-faith asserts that the mythological Great Weyre-Mother foretold of her people's subjugation and of the coming of a great savior over a thousand years ago. No photographs have been definitively confirmed, but we are now showing a police sketch of the self-proclaimed Liberator.

From the screen, a black-and-white pencil sketch of a dark, rough-hewn face glowered at Redd. His thick brows were knitted together, his features sharp as granite. The cheekbones were high and proud, the lips finely formed, full and curving. There wasn't really much that a sketch could reveal that gave him away as weyre, except for the distinctive line of
