      On that shore,

      the ocean laps.

      On that shore,

      we walk,

      hand in hand,

      two as one,

      the only sound,

      Several years pass,

      and once I returned.

      Still on the shore,

      the ocean laps.

      I walked that shore alone.

      I walk in our footsteps,

      two is now one,

      and the only sound,

      the ocean laps.

      That shore knows of the past,

      of the day you left,

      but its only reply,

      the ocean laps.

      Dreams

      I aspire only to be artistic,

      but creative I am not.

      I merely write a few words,

      in simple rhyme.

      I see friends on the stage,
