The Truth Behind God

About this ebook
In 2007, Jesus Christ visited twenty individuals who were stranded together during a blizzard. To this day, despite the disbelief and ridicule, each of these people have been relentless in spreading His word, and telling of His visit. Travis Rothman was there. He was chosen from them all, given the ‘True Word’ and entrusted by Jesus to deliver it. Much was told to Travis in the days that followed. Questions were answered, including ‘Where did God come from?’ Keeping his promise to Jesus, Travis documented it all in this story.

Many describe me as a small eccentric man. With all that being true, I am in fact one other thing.
Blessed.
There are some who will cast verbal stones my way, perhaps chant versus of The Bible in an attempt to frighten me. But more than likely, their words will just be a reiterating fuel to the fire of those who look for a reason to hate the words upon this paper so they don’t have to find truth.
All I ask is that you read the words before you condone or challenge them.
There is undoubtedly truth here. And while it will go against everything you were taught, it does, however, make such an odd sense you will see how it fils in the cracks of your blind faith like a foundation sealant.
I know this. Because I was like you.
I doubted, I challenged and then it clicked. It made sense and I started asking questions about many things.
I received my answers.
For you see I am truly not the author of this book. I am merely the typist, translator, receiver, interviewer, whatever you wish to call me. The words you are about to read are not my words, they are His Words.
Blasphemy!
you say.
To which I reply, ‘Nay’.
Wikipedia describes a prophet as - A person who has been contacted by, or has encountered, the supernatural or the divine, and serves as an intermediary with humanity, delivering this newfound knowledge from the supernatural entity to other humans. The message that the prophet conveys is called a prophecy.
There have been hundreds of major and minor prophets throughout history and stated as such in The bible. Yet, today, modern man refutes the existence of any prophet in the 21st century. Has anyone stopped to question why God would stop bestowing knowledge on people 2,000 years ago? Surely, He would find more humor giving modern man prophecy since society handles them differently.
A prophet today is an insane person. If someone claims to speak to God and hear Him reply, then that person is regarded as ‘crazy’.
Why is that? Why isn’t it possible? It is.
God speaks to many. They don’t need medication; they just need to be heard.
I heard I listened, and now I convey. In hopes that you’ll do the same.
For three months He encompassed my life. Every waking moment. For three months I took the dictation of everything He said; as close to word for word as I could. His style of speaking.
The way He told me.
He is not what you expect.
When I first saw Him, the true teller of this story, it wasn’t in a church or field or on some glorious summer day. It was at Sam’s Tap on one of the snowiest days in a decade.
Sam’s Tap was a hole in the wall, blue collar worker bar set on a crusty street in a not-so nice neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
It was not the type of place I would frequent. So how’d I end up there?
Born of farmer parents, I did not follow the parental lead and grab some tractor to plow a field. Instead, I used the extreme intelligence bestowed upon me and
