Lugey’s Pub was crawling with its regular Saturday crowd. And I do mean crawling. Like worms.

Jerry Schmeitzer, a fixture at the bar who’s in his early forties but looks late fifties, was watching a baseball game as if he’d fallen asleep with his eyes open. During a pitching change it cut to a highlight of women’s tennis.

Look at that one, Jerry said, perking up. Can you believe the body on her? What I wouldn’t do for one night with a piece of ass like that. But instead I’m stuck here looking at your ugly mugs.
