Little Lambs' Lessons from Luke - Carol Movrich Gedde

    The Lost Little Lambs

Rejoice with me for I have found my sheep which was lost ...In the same way, there will be joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. Luke 15: 6, 7

    There were many little lambs

    In the Shepherd’s fold.

He taught them where to safely play.

Most did as they were told.

Andrew kept a real close eye

    On Hannah when he could.

    She was his little sister,

    And was usually quite good.

    His younger brother Matthew,

    Helped in his own way.

    He loved his sister dearly,

But would rather run and play.

    Hannah wanted to run off;

    Find new things to explore.

    Andrew said, "Be happy here!

    Don’t always wish for more."

    But Hannah begged her brothers

    To take her far away,

Where she could see a different world

In which to eat and play.

    "Being such a little lamb

Is not much fun for me.

I’m tired of just this little field.

There’s more I want to see."

    Hannah’s brother Matthew said,

    While tears began to flow,

"The Shepherd said to stay right here,

    We really shouldn’t go."
