    Prelude

What you, the reader are about to read, is a collection of stories.  The treasures that leak out in this book is very extrordanory , All of the scripture that are in this big book, are Folklore from Yetaboo Island.

The Bears and the Wolf by Minerva Kapaldi

The story you are about to read is a tale told by many generations, spread around for years on end, and then the lass Minerva rewrote the story we know today.

The evening had turned dark fast and the moon was bright. Kemena turned her head toward the sky and let out a long, mournful howl. The graceful she-wolf howled until her throat was hoarse and her lungs were void of oxygen. An early autumn breeze floated through the trees and Kemena breathed in deeply, sampling the air with her astute nose. She crept back into the dark underbrush and made her way to her small den. She was greeted by three cheerful cubs, yipping and running about. The cubs all donned identical fur but they each had a few distinct features and very different personalities.

The oldest, Callan, was a strong male, named after his recently passed father who bravely died in the Great Battle of the River. Callan’s large paws and larger head made it difficult for him to hunt at times but he was a determined wolf, like his mother.

Alora and Atlas, the female cubs were like two peas in a pod. They never left the other’s side and did everything together. Alora looked exactly like her mother and Atlas resembled her late father to a t.
