About this ebook

This book is the fourth in a series of four books about little lambs and the Shepherd who cares for them. There are eight stories, each one written to explain a verse in the book of Psalms through the fun adventures of the little lambs. The stories are told in rhyming verse, with a full color picture to go with each verse. All the stories demonstrate the gentle love and care that the Savior has for His precious children. The target market for this book is children aged 4 - 12, and it also works well in a Sunday School lesson.

Little Lambs Sing the Psalms - Carol Movrich Gedde

    The New Baby Lamb

You saw me before I was born. The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book before any of them began. Psalm 139:16

The baby’s here. A brand new lamb!

    Hannah shouted joyfully.

"He is so tiny and so cute.

    Come quickly now and see."

The lambs came running up the hill

    To see the tiny lamb,

That lay within the Shepherd’s arms.

    He’s adorable! cooed Pam.

He surely is, the Shepherd said,

    "But he’s so very small.

Daniel here will need our help.

Can I count on you all?"

"There is so much he needs to learn.

    He can’t be left alone."

Andrew vowed, "We all can help

To watch him till he’s grown."

    "Hi there, Daniel, I’m Andrew.

    And here’s my brother Matt;

My sister, Hannah, and our friends."

They all drew close to chat.

But Daniel hid his head in fear

    And cried out in alarm.

Don’t fear, the Shepherd softly said,

    They don’t mean any harm.

"You’d best take turns. Two at a time

Can help with the new lamb.

Hannah, will you be first to watch,

    And also your friend Pam?"

Oh yes! they both quickly agreed,

    Come on, Daniel, let’s play.

With one on either side of him,

    He walked shakily away.

Whazat? he asked a million times,

    At everything he saw.

    Hannah and Pam named everything

    Until their throats were raw.

It seemed like every rock and weed

    Would trip poor Daniel up.

He once rolled down a hill so fast,

At the bottom he threw up.
