    Meh. These recipes are okay, but Rachael Ray generally irritates me anyway... so maybe I'm biased?

    I don't tend to follow these recipes to the letter, but flip through the book for ideas. Ray's list of things to always have on hand overlaps quite a bit with my own, so I can usually find something in the book.

    If you've seen any of the shows, the book reads like a familiar chipper voice. Cheerful, positive, encouraging guidance and some good tips on keeping ingredient mania to a minimum.
