The female narrator is god awful. Her male voice drove me nuts and even her female voice is grating. The sexy scenes might read better in the book but this narrator's reading of the scenes made them laughable.

Narration was good with Dual POVs. I was impressed by how the MMC was written. I don’t think we realize how vague most men in romances are written. Particularly in dark romance. It’s always just a sexy dark possessive and brooding possibly violent guy. There was real intricacy to this MMCs character. A much more realistic picture of a flawed rich asshole. It makes him less likable for sure but also more genuine and again, realistically human. Props to the author for character depth. The fmc also acted in more realistic ways than I have come to expect in romance books. When faced with a ridiculously bad choice ( do this or else ) she actually didn’t do the dumbest thing imaginable! It was refreshing. Personally I’m not all that into the plot. I was hoping for some much darker kinky sex scenes( definitely hinted at going by the MMC internal dialogue). There’s a good chance that might still be coming in the next book since they only have sex once before the big drama cliffhanger. Still though the steam felt a bit lackluster to me. I could just be in a “mood” or something though lol. Definitely worth giving a try, especially since it’s in the unlimited catalog. For sure it was better than I expected. I’ll be looking into this author more in the future.

This would have been a good read, but it's incomplete. The story ends abruptly and will make you wish you didn't start it. The only thing I'm happy about is that it's part of the unlimited collection, and no credits were needed. OK, so I found the second book titled The Dancer. For now, I will keep my review until I complete the next book.

Is it bad? Yes! Is it realistic (in terms of plot not smut, because we all know the smut is fantasy - example FMC father just attacked her and tried to strangulate her, next thing MC sticks his dick down her mouth almost choking her with it) ? - long explanation at the question and a short answer, NO! Did it have weird details that just lead to nothing (MC has gunshot wounds near his heart - why? Don't know. How? Who? No idea.) has verbal attacks in the family (FMC father is a bully, and tries to manipulate his family, he is verbally abusive on page and towards the end he attacks his daughter. He also tries to sell his daughter for a debt to the Mafia (we have very little details on this) MC also has trauma from childhood from being sexually abused by a woman) Did I finished it? Hell yes. Honestly there is very little smut, the plot is unrealistic on so many levels, but I was bored. 2.5 ⭐ but rounded to 3 because I finished it. ?
