About this audiobook

Lachlan MacGown has been long suspicious of the mysterious warrior "Hunter" and when he discovers that "he" is a she, Lachlan couldn't be more stunned...or delighted!

But no matter how lovely the lass is, he's seen her conferring with an enemy of his clan, and he doesn't trust her an inch. Especially when she takes a job as nursemaid to that enemy's young children. So Lachlan appoints himself her escort, refusing to leave her side—which makes for very interesting days...and nights!

The MMC is annoying, foolish, and unlikeable. I DNF'ed it.

Meh! Incomplete and bad execution of story. May be most of the back story was written in previous books. But it could have been better if they told Hunter's story properly in her POV, rather than brushing it off. Author concentrated more pages on 'woooing the lass' than the story. She was shown as head strong and emotional less towards others.

I loved the fact that it wasn't the typical damsel in distress tale and how the protagonist took the life she was given and made herself her own protector she was a worrior. I would have like more of an epilog, I have so many questions did they have children besides the children they adopted, did she go to war with him in other battles. I feel like there could've been an extra story in the series here
