About this audiobook
Lord James Harrington and his wife, Beth, run a country hotel in West Sussex, England. Autumn has arrived, and they are helping with the Harvest festivities when they learn that escaped convict, Locksmith Joe, is in the area. James suspects that his good friend Bert knows more about this than he's letting on.
When new arrival Christie Cameron is found dead in his bedroom, clues suggest foul play, yet the room was locked from the inside. How did the killer get in? When a second death occurs at the scarecrow festival, James puts his sleuthing hat on. Will a surprise discovery jeopardise his friendship with Bert?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great mystery wonderful characters with lots of mentions about yummy food to make your mouth water just hearing about it.
And all round fun series to be heard. Narrator is fabulous and no going on and on about the same thing. Just a free flowing fun mystery in a village that anyone would want to live in. A must read - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Autumn Lord Harrington book is outstanding. The mystery, the multiple characters, the depth, the fast pace, the clean big fun, the cultural going ons etc. Brilliant audio reading as usual.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Pretty good, story was a little sad for a light cozy mystery. Also was bothered by Lord Harrison’s comment that he did not “approve.” While it is keeping with the 1950s, it might have come off better if the “hero” didn’t express this sentiment, maybe a supporting character should have voiced this opinion. It simply makes him more distasteful, not just more human or fallible.
