I had a reflexive dislike in the beginning, it was so preachy about forgiving and hugging your parents despite the fact that a lot of traumatized parents react to their trauma by abusing their children in overt and covert ways. It can become a coping method for them to destruct their own children and by setting the stage for that destruction and watching it play out find relief for old wounds.

But with that said it was not such a bad listen all in all, i feel like the author does have a point, but I do worry he is the kind of therapist that's likely to find excuses for even the most terrible abuse.
