About this audiobook

Do you know someone who could use some encouragement? Perhaps that someone is you. When God Makes Lemonade comes from the lives of everyday folk - a collection of stories about people like you who have discovered unexpected sweetness in the midst of sour circumstances. Some of these real-life stories are laugh-out-loud funny, others are sobering, and more than a few will have you reaching for a tissue. But these true stories all have one thing in common: hope. There is no question; life will sometimes give you lemons: out-of-your-control issues of health, employment, and relationships, circumstances that are truly sour - you wouldn't wish them on anyone. But when those lemons become lemonade, it is as refreshing as an ice-cold drink on a hot summer day. When in life "stuff happens," know that Lemonade Happens™ too! Be encouraged and inspired . . . When God Makes Lemonade.

I am disabled and have some serious back issues that I will now have to live with the rest of my life, there are no more surgeries that the Doctors can do, my bones break for no reason, and I live in horrific pain every day. I do get in those slumps and start the ‘oh poor me’ and I thank God I chose this book to read and review. When God Makes Lemonade is such a refreshing, up-lifting and inspirational read, once you start reading it you will not want to put it down. I loved the stories from each individual. They will lift you up and give you the inspiration and faith to keep on keeping on. Never give up, keep that faith.

Don shares his traumatic life event, which led him to write, and thank goodness, he wrote this book. There are stories that will tug at your heartstrings; I found that there some stories in this book that make my problems with my disability look minor. It is true that life can throw us some serious lemons, but as you will read the stories, lemonade can be made from them.

I was given this book free by Thomas Nelson Publishing via the blogger book review program Booksneeze for an honest un-biased review, I did not receive and compensation for my review. I would like to thank them for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

These short stories inspire the reader by letting them know that God can bring good from bad situations. For someone who is going through a tough time, this is a book they should read. Some of these stories will make you smile, some will make you cry, all will make you see that good things can happen, even from a situation that is heartbreaking.

I love short stories about real people that encourage and often inspire and that's just what you get in the book. I think when I read about everyday people it allows me to easily relate to what they are going thru, the bits of wisdom that I glean from these stories is invaluable. In "God Makes Lemonade" is a compilation of over eighty short stories that really touch on a multitude of subjects. Some are heartbreaking while others are heartwarming and even though most of the stories were often only a few pages it was easy for me to feel connected to the people in the stories, and usually I felt uplifted by the stories they shared. I found a few of the stories really stood out for me and I have actually re-read them. I found the index at the beginning of the book very helpful in being able to mark my favorite stories . The only complaint I have with this book is I wish the author would have grouped stories about similar topics together. If your someone who needs a spiritual boost or just enjoy stories about real people that will encourage and inspire then your certainly going to enjoy this book. This book is a keeper for me, with stories that I will refer to often. Recommended!
