In Shakespeare's "All's Well That Ends Well," Helen, a young woman, pines for Bertram, the arrogant son of a count. He rejects her due to her lower social status and flees to war, setting impossible tasks for her to fulfill before accepting her as his wife. Driven by love, Helen travels to Italy, where Bertram is stationed, and cleverly fulfills his conditions, ultimately tricking him into unknowingly consummating the marriage. Though unconventional and morally complex, the play ends with Bertram acknowledging Helen and the promise of a happy future, justifying the title's message.
