Paul D. Storrie was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and despite time spent in Grand Rapids, Chicago, and Los Angeles, has returned to Metro-Detroit time and again. He attended Grand Valley State University and received a B.A. in English Language and Literature, knowing that he wanted to tell stories for a living. His first published work was the comic book series Robyn of Sherwood in 1998. Grade Level: 4+Genre: Graphic NovelThemes: MythologyThe story is about Perseus' quest for Medusa's head. In order to keep his mother from marrying King Polydectes, Perseus has to bring him the head of Medusa. Also within his journey Perseus finds his wife, Andromeda, and saves her from the Kraken.I enjoyed this graphic novel. For me graphic novels are a little harder to read. I tend to think that the pictures are in the way of my comprehension. Reading more of them will help that. I really liked the way the novel gave background information on Perseus and how he came to need to get Medusa's head. It would be a good book to introduce mythology to the students. There are so many characters to keep track of that I think graphic novels help students remember each story
