Reviews for Spiritual Leadership

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Although I read Oswald Chambers book many years ago, after listening to an updated audio version I am really impressed. The book encourages the leader to walk with God in his leadership and systematically goes over some of the areas of greatest Spiritual challenge. To be even more effective it could deal more specifically and directly with some of the major temptations of our day. There could also be more on the matter of repentance and restoration after sin. The message of the book was first given as an address to members of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. Chambers closes with the observation that pastors generally have two callings: one is to be a prophet to their people and the other is to lead their people more or less as an administrator. He advises that we had better preach, write, and lead as a prophet rather than as a pleaser of men if we want to guide a new generation of robust disciples for Christ.
