It's an amazing book to listen to. You also do have to be in the right mood for this type of book. Its can get very sad at some points etc. Also of course Joe and Teddy killed it with an amazing performance. They truly know how to bring a story alive ?

One could never go wrong with Marley Valentine gift of story telling. What We Broke had it all what one would want in a good book. The powder of Love and passion, sorrow and grief, which carried the plot forward till the happy ending.
As we have come to expect from Marley the writing is beautiful, descriptive and you drown in the emotions of the characters as they slowly try to rebuild relationships and come to terms with the devastation. I felt the pain of the characters and loved every moment of the book narrated excellently by Joe Arden and Teddy Hamilton two of my favourite narrators. All the supporting characters gave weight to the story telling along with Jesse and Leo two beautiful souls.

I am not a fan of the Then and Now structure, but she nailed it this time. As we have come to expect from her writing which is beautiful, descriptive and you drown in the emotions of the characters as they slowly try to rebuild relationships and come to terms with the devastation.
All the three books - Without You, With You and What We Broke has interweaving characters which carries each story forward and a must read by fans of Marley.

This story had me in my feelings, and it was intense and sad. The ending was perfect, and so much love through grief was shown by each MC. I am very pleased with the ending, and I would also like to suggest the audiobook version while reading it. The audio with Teddy Hamilton & Joe Arden brought the characters to life!
