About this audiobook

Agony cries within the siblings, their faces tormented by the winds of destruction, chaos, and death that seemed to follow each of them individually and haunted them as a family.

Profound struggles, coupled with the conundrums that had shaped his whole life, put Ahmu in the face of unseen, unparalleled dangers in search of the truth of his lineage.

What lies behind the enigma of his bloodline's quest for truth and darkness? What truth awaits Ahmu as he navigates the murky pathways to his lineage of evanescence?

I found this story only partially interesting, but mostly confusing. I had no clue where this story was going the whole time I have been reading it. It made so many sudden turns.

We start with a family of five kids that live in the mountains away from any civilization. The kids are all trained since little by their parents and told it's for some future purpose. Right away, I was getting some sinister vibes from the parents. The training felt very anime-like with some cliche technique names.
I enjoyed this first part well enough, as I was curious about where it would go from there.

I don't know how to talk about the following story without any spoilers because I could not have imagined where it would all lead.So let me just say very vaguely what you can expect.
For one, we continue with the anime-like feel because we get a lot of power upping and fights on grand scales. It gets very violent too. I didn't much enjoy this part of the story. What I did enjoy somewhat more was the investigation into the mystery of the family. Especially some parts that had almost a fairytale-like feeling to them.

I was listening to the audiobook, and it was quite well narrated, with some extra effects occasionally added to voices to make it more engaging.

I would recommend this to people that want to try something way different and probably too weird for most to appreciate. Even if I find it only an ok read, I don't regret picking it up. It is certainly not a forgettable book.
