Matt Addis shines in his performance as this lovely story unfolds and enchants. Isabelle, grieving over her father’s death, fights against selfish and treacherous relatives to stay at her beloved home instead of going to the metropolis for a season. Meanwhile, she meets a former soldier like her father, becomes his nurse after an accident, and must let him go as the plot thickens. Romance, action, trickery, dishonesty, friendship and adventure lead to a rousing finale.
