About this audiobook

Repairs on the Golden Gate Bridge Uncover a Century-Old Murder

Walk through Doors to the Past via a new series of historical stories of romance and adventure.

Underwater archaeologist Kayla Richardson is called to the Golden Gate Bridge where repairs to one of the towers uncovers two human remains from the late 1800s and the 1930s. The head of the bridge restoration is Steven Michaels, who dives with Kayla, and a friendship develops between them. But as the investigation heats up and gold is found that dates back to the gold rush, more complications come into play that threaten them both. Could clues leading to a Gold Rush era mystery that was first discovered during the building of the bridge still ignite an obsession worth killing for?

This was an exciting story. The details about the diving were great and even if the story itself was fabricated, the truth about the length men will go for gold still exists. The narrator did a great job!

Historical fiction is a good way to learn and perhaps glean of things from our history while still experiencing “down” time.
The thread of God’s forgiveness and encouraging the readers to pass His love on to others mixed in with suspense makes this a four star read.

Enjoyed it! Listening during a (very) busy time with my head already holding much too much information, I found the shifts between time periods a little difficult to follow via audiobook, but the story of discovery beneath the San Francisco waters was intriguing! Loved learning a little bit about diving in different eras, and am thoroughly convinced that even with the most up to date equipment, I'll keep my feet on (or very close to) solid ground, thank you very much. Dining for gold, bridge building, historical discovery, or - gulp - plain old fun, is not for me! It's fun to read about though!

This was one story I wish had had an epilogue; I'm very curious about where truth and fiction overlapped in this story exploring the depths, and the greatness, of the sea and of the human heart.
