Well, the description is COMPLETELY misleading and not at all what the book is about. Yes, the characters are descended from Earthlings but that has almost nothing to do with the story and happened thousands of years before the story takes place. Overall the story was entertaining but only because I had nothing better to do. I guess that is saying something because I have stopped listening to books partially through and returned them because they were just awful.

The reader was God awful in the first couple of books, but I eventually got used to it. The character voices themselves were well done but whenever he said “said (insert character name)” it was rushed and mockingly seductive, as if he were doing a parody read of a cheesy romance novel (bizarre, I know). Sometimes he sounded like the announcer from the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon so that was slightly fun and nostalgic.
