About this audiobook

There's something wrong with Apartment 401...

When the newlywed couple Brad and Julia decide to move into their new home, they are ecstatic to start their new lives. They finally have a home of their own, and with a baby on the way, this couldn't have come at a better time.

However, just one day in the apartment is enough to tell them that something is very wrong. Things go missing only to reappear in strange places, footsteps and whispers echo in the rooms, and every night, the same song plays from somewhere inside the apartment.

The longer Brad and Julia spend in the apartment, the more they learn about the dark secrets that haunt it. No longer able to afford moving to a new place, they have to make a decision - run away from their new home, or face the apparitions that plague it.

One thing is for sure, though. They are not the only inhabitants of Apartment 401.

** Fantastic book, Terrible narrator **
The narrator sounds like he's reading instructions. It's so bad.

But the story is really good! Great twist at the end. Glad I pushed past the narrator.
And you have to really pay attention to catch the other little twist at the end.

A newly married and young couple; Julia and Brad get an awesome deal on the purchase of a 'new' apratment. Julia is pregnant with their first child....you can guess the rest.

Once they move in they start to meet the older neighbors.....they seem nice. Then they meet 5 year old neighbor boy who only wants to talk to Julia. He and his single mother live upstairs, and the child 'plays with invisible friends' on the stairs with his toys. Both Brad and Julia feel something is weird in the apartment but Brad does not want to admit it. When occurences start happening where they are misplacing car keys, and tools, they start to think could the apartment be haunted.

Julia is really nervous with her being pregnant and hires a medium. After they spend $600 plus, and nothing is solved they decide to investigate on their own.

No spoilers here, but I had the book figured out at 48% and was not surprised at all. This is the 2nd book of Bacic's i have listened to and was not imressed with either. Cannot recommend this one unless you are fairly new to ghost stories and books that 'want to be scary!' This was not at all.

This was a really good book. Unfortunately the narrator was not. I still pushed through but it could have been so much better.

I enjoyed this story. Good concept and plot twist. I could imagine it being made into a film.

I loved this book, it held me captive from the jump. The plot was very well thought out and I loved the twist up at the end.

The naysayers of the narrator is ridiculous I think he did an amazing job.

    Excellent work, keep them coming

Not my favorite narrator nor book. Dialog was not natural and storyline done a million times. Amateurish in writing, although there was one cool twist but otherwise very predictable. Opportunities for the author to really charge up the action, excpecially where the kids came in were missed. The discoveries that should have presented excitement to the storyline were dull and not realized. Descriptive proluss was just grazed upon which would have brought the story to life. Ug...Sorry, not an exciting audiobook, a better narrator may have brought another star but I already felt generous with 3.

I'm not sure if English is the authors second language or if it is written to be easily understood by those with a lower than average reading level, but it sounds like it was written by a child. I could not make it past chapter 2.
