The Naked Mind is written very clearly and with compassion. She really leads the reader to understand her grand point at the end in a systemic, cohesive way. I don't necessarily agree with the grand ending, but I do believe everyone who is interested in overcoming drinking and doesn't need and/or believe in rehab should read this book.

I have read many books in my quest to master the Wine Witch but these are by far the best. Grace doesn't try to pretend that alcohol doesn't make you feel good but she shows you the not-so-obvious downside and gives some great tools for wiping out those cravings. We all know willpower just doesn't work and she not only explains why but gives strategies that do. If you want to give up or just cut down, either book is truly empowering.
