The mysteries are enjoyable but don't have a great sense of place. Much of the action could have occurred anywhere. I can see that the author wanted to have the books have a sense of place and put a lot of effort into describing the countryside but the descriptions are kind of vague and painted with a broad brush. But not bad books.

Pamela Fagan did a great job with this series! I enjoyed all three books. The way the author so, richly constructed the stories, kept me hanging on to every word!
