Author

Christopher D. Schmitz

Christopher D. Schmitz is author of both Sci-Fi/Fantasy Fiction and Nonfiction books and has been published in both traditional and independent outlets. If you've looked into indie writers of the upper midwest you may have heard his name whispered in dark alleys with an equal mix of respect and disdain. He has been featured on television broadcasts, podcasts, and runs a blog for indie authors... but you've still probably never heard of him.As an avid consumer of comic books, movies, cartoons, and books (especially sci-fi and fantasy) this child of the 80s basically lived out Stranger Things, but shadowy government agencies won't let him say more than that. He lives in rural Minnesota with his family where he drinks unsafe amounts of coffee; the caffeine shakes keeps the cold from killing them. In his off-time he plays haunted bagpipes in places of low repute, but that's a story for another time.He has a special offer for readers on the following link:https://www.subscribepage.com/p1o9c9(5 free ebooks!)

Someone needs to check the audiobook, there are several chapters out of order. Part of part 1 falls in the middle of the audiobook so it completely throws you off. Not sure who put it together, but QC not good at all. I don't know if it was the narrator or the book itself or a combination of both but it was absolutely horrid and sooooo boring! I felt like the narrator (who happens to also be the author) should stick to writing books rather than reading them. I felt like his inflection in some parts were completely off. I tried to like this book, especially since it should have been right up my alley, but I just felt like it was not well put together.

    Lol This was super!
The only con I’ve ever been to was the last hour of a sad little thing in like 1991 that my ex-husband took me to. It was dark, decorated in mostly red, and had two Klingons walking around. That was it. Not even signs in the hotel lobby to where it was. We paid a fortune for a millionth generation bootleg copy of bloopers, so other than knowing they are not that, I have zero idea what cons are supposed to be. I don’t read comics, haven’t seen any of the movies, don’t read what I assume this author usually writes—and I stopped this book approx 9,000 times to share the funny things going on with my son. I LOVED this book. It was so funny. He draws terrific word pictures. I could see the entire thing as I followed along.
At first I thought the narration was pretty bad but, in a nerdy way, it just grew on me. Not really sure anyone could have done it worse/better than the author himself has done here. I almost wish now that I DID read his genre.
Give it a try on a day you’re feeling kinda punk and blue; this is just a jumble of quick-moving awesome chapters of entertainment.
