About this audiobook

“Mark Edwards always delivers! Taut, gripping, scary and original - a fabulous read!”—Robert Bryndza, #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author

A beautiful home. A loving wife. And in-laws to die for.

Gemma Robinson comes into Elliot’s life like a whirlwind, and they marry and settle into his home. When she asks him if her parents can come to stay for a couple of weeks, he is keen to oblige – he just doesn’t quite know what he’s signing up for.

The Robinsons arrive with Gemma’s sister, Chloe, a mysterious young woman who refuses to speak or leave her room. Elliot starts to suspect that the Robinsons are hiding a dark secret. And then there are the scars on his wife’s body that she won’t talk about…

As Elliot’s in-laws become more comfortable in his home, encroaching on all aspects of his life, it becomes clear that they have no intention of moving out. To protect Gemma, and their marriage, Elliot delves into the Robinsons’ past. But is he prepared for the truth?

From the two million copy bestselling author comes a tale about the chilling consequences of welcoming strangers into your home.

Little to depressing for my taste. Not much of a mystery!

The book keeps you on the edge of your seat, but the entire time I wanted to punch Elliot in the face because he’s an idiot.

Good story! I was not expecting the twist at the end. And the narrator does a good job with all the characters and voices.

Very well written! This story produced continuous feelings of irritation, exasperation and anticipation. And then you get to the end and well, fudruckers!!! I didn't see that coming.

You think your family draws outside of the lines, try this one. The narration is good, character build is well done, story line keeps moving. I enjoyed this story even as I was shaking my head every now and then.

Gripping and twisty, I was hooked from the start! I loved the fact that the main character was a man because in thrillers/domestic noirs, the "victim" is usually female. The narrator was an excellent fit.

It was entertaining but a bit depressing….ugh. Will read more books from this author just hope his others don’t end the way this one does. Big twist at the end I didn’t guess so 1 extra star for that .

The story is interesting and full of twists with an unexpected ending. I found the writing long winded, and too scene descriptive. I found the setup full of the obvious.

Ok.. I almost quit listening to this book about halfway Thru because these people (Jeff and Lizzie) infuriated me and I am sick of the bad guys winning. I went and actually looked up spoilers and found out what the ending was and went ahead and finished it. It was a crazy wild story. Be careful who you let into your house.
