About this audiobook

She vowed to protect her heart…

Andie Shayne believes in forever…for everyone else. She has an up-and-coming wedding planning business, and her own failed engagement, to prove it. Now, all Andie wants is to save the date for Seaglass Celebrations becoming a premier destination wedding resort. And making sure the wedding of the summer goes off without a hitch will get her there—despite the arrival of one unexpected guest.

The sexy-as-sin best man…who’s also the ex who broke Andie’s heart.

Mark Kavanaugh wants to make amends with Andie. He knows breaking off their engagement—at the altar!—was unforgivable. But he’s a wiser man now, vowing to make peace with his past. But with desire reigniting on Turtle Island, Mark realizes he never stopped loving Andie. He wants her; and this time, he’s determined to do it right.

Kim Law

Kim Law wrote her first story, “The Gigantic Talking Raisin,” in elementary school. Although it was never published, it was enough to whet her appetite for a career in writing. First, however, she would try her hand at a few other passions: baton twirling, softball, and music, to name a few. Voted Bookworm and Most Likely to Succeed in high school, she went on to earn a college degree in mathematics. Law spent years working as a computer programmer and raising her son, and she now devotes her time and energy to writing romance novels (none of which feature talking raisins). She is a past winner of the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart Award and currently serves as president for her local RWA chapter. A native of Kentucky, she lives with her husband in Middle Tennessee.

Ex on the Beach by Kim Law
Turtle Island #1. Contemporary romance. Second chance troupe.
Andie Shayne is an event planner and needs the bonus on the next event to stay afloat. Having her ex-fiancé at the event is not her ideal situation so she will just avoid him as much as possible. That’s not Mark’s plan. He wants to apologize for walking out on her and he’s not taking busy as an excuse.

A lot of drama, forgiveness and second chance sexiness. Extended family drama adds more to the story than just the romance. I think she forgave him and trusts too easily. A bit longer than it needed to be. In the end, hea which is what it needed to be.

This is a wonderful story of second chances! Andie not only gets a second chance with the man she has always loved but a new relationship with her mother. A truly heartwarming tale of hope. While I will never again get into a serial (drove me absolutely batty waiting for the rest of the story) I am so happy I stumbled into this one. Highly recommended and definitely on my must read again list.

Kim Law has created two complicated and very human characters in Andie and Mark. Throughout this book, we cheer Andie on in her endeavor to succeed at SOMETHING! While Andie is trying to be professional and deliver the best wedding experience for the bride, Mark is doing his best to capture Andie's love one more time and make her his forever love. Did I mention that Mark left her at the altar four years ago? Well, that is part of the complication between these two lovers. Recommended reading for a good time.
