About this audiobook

San Francisco homicide detective Jane Candiotti never shies away from the risks of the job. Now she’s finally ready to gamble on her personal life, inviting her partner and boyfriend Kenny Marks to move in. But just when domestic bliss settles in, Skip Lacey, an ex-cop turned junkie, is found brutally murdered, his eyes gouged out with a spoon. He is the first—but he won’t be the last.

Because after fifteen years on the inside maximum security, a bloodthirsty ex-con is finally free to exact his revenge on the city’s peacekeepers who’d kept him behind bars. One by one the mutilated bodies pile up, while the SFPD scrambles to unmask the killer who is decimating their ranks. For Jane and Kenny, the only thing worse than watching their friends and colleagues fall is the knowledge that, unless they can stop this unrelenting madman in time, any day could be their last.

After writing many books in the Sisterhood series, I think it is time to retire them. I did not enjoy this one as much as the others. Once again, the reason for the vigilante justice is a good one and the culprits deserved to get theirs, but these ladies are getting tired and it is time to move on.

BLINDSIDED is another excellent book in the Sisterhood Series by Fern Michaels. I have read every book in this series and always look forward to the twists and turns that Ms. Michaels creates with her wonderful story telling abilities. I just finished this book and am already looking forward to the next book in the series.

Blindsided by Fern Michaels was very disappointing to me. It took me a while to work through the beginning because there were so about where the different women were at the point in their life. I think it would have worked better as a standalone with all that at the beginning.I loved the main story about the evil twin sisters declaring their brother dead and deep into moneymaking schemes. I loved to hate both of them. But some of the details of the Viligilantes' war room seemed dated and not plausible. The book would have been better if there was more backstory to the evil twins. I craved that but wasn’t satisfied with what I got. Also, I think that this book could have been trimmed of a few characters too. I also didn't like the vengeance scene. I thought it was too cruel for even mean villlians.I have six other books by Fern Michaels on my TBR shelves so I hope they are better. I am not giving up best I really liked a few of her other books before. There is some humor which I really enjoyed but on the whole, this part of the series seemed off key to me.I received this book as a win from FirstReads but that in no way influenced my thoughts or feelings in this review.
