About this audiobook

Have you been wondering what's been going on with Betsy the Vampire Queen after she defeated the anti-Antichrist and became Satan 2.0? And are all her entourage still with her? So here is Undead #16—Undead AF!

The day Betsy, Queen of the Vampires and Ruler of Hell, tried to ignore is coming soon…and she is dreading it. Betsy’s reign needs to be celebrated as her Jubilee. But Betsy has a lot on her mind at the moment. Her mother is dying, her father, who faked his own death to get the insurance money, is back in her mom’s life and so many of her staff are constantly coming to her to answer questions, answers she just doesn’t have. Add to this, vampires from all over the world want to know her secrets. How has she been able to make zombies and how can her sexy husband, Eric Sinclair, walk in the sunlight? With all this going on, Betsy wishes she only had to worry what pair of shoes to wear, not how to reign supreme over the vampires and Hell, itself.

A British take on zombies, including teen-aged zombies. And a creepy little kid zombie.

I liked the book. Both the plot and the characters were nicely developed. I just wished it were a little bit faster paced. To me, it seemed as though it took a bit too long to get to the climax of the story. I really could have just been a bit too impatient. That said, I am 32 and it's more of a book for younger readers so it might be right on for that age group.*I received this audiobook free of charge in exchange for an honest review*

While on the way home from a school ski trip, the bus stops at a restaurant for lunch. Bobbie and Smitty stay behind on the bus. Suddenly there is a zombie outbreak and chaos ensues. The narrator does a phenomenal job of accentuating shifts in time, location, types of action, and characters.Characters are dynamic, authentic, and continue to develop as the tale progresses. The narrative is complex, detailed, interlaced with humor and action.Overall, an thrilling read!

New girl Bobby is on a ski trip with her high school class to Scotland. Shortly after they stop at a cafe in the middle of nowhere, her classmates all turn into zombies. From there they all run for their lives, and it's actually quite clever and funny. Bobby has typical teenage girl concerns without being obnoxious, the zombies are gross and scary without being gory, and the scenery changes more frequently than your average horror movie. The humor had me laughing out loud in places, and there were a couple moments of actual suspense. In short, I really enjoyed it, and now I want to read the sequel.

Bobby (a girl), is quite unhappy. Urged by her dad to go on a winter school field trip to Scotland to get to know her new British classmates better, she's only learned that she dislikes them all wholeheartedly. When the bus pulls into a gas station/cafe for a break, she ops out, choosing instead to avoid her classmates by staying on the bus - a move that saves her life when nearly all the cafe customers emerge into the snowstorm as zombies.Bobby, Smitty (the class bad boy who'd been forced to stay on the bus as punishment) and a couple of others are now in the fight for their lives.A fun, intense zombie story - bloody, creepy, and a little bit funny, with a wee bit of romance.Recommended.

My only problem with this one was the "explanation" for the zombies, which was incomplete, confusing, and in my opinion unneeded. Other than that, Awesomeness! The ending was absolutely perfect! I laughed out loud every time I saw the extra large "Carrot Man Vegetable Juice! Put Some Fire In Your Belly", and can I just say bonus cool points for the furry carrot zombie! This story is filled with sarcasm, wit, and zombies, it is actually a wonderful combination. This one jumps to the top of my favorite zombie reads!
