About this audiobook
Paige Lancaster, single mom and prodigal daughter, has returned to the East Coast from her prestigious, well-paid job in Los Angeles, writing for the smartest detective series on television. Something terrible happened to her back in Hollywood. Okay, two terrible things, one featuring a misplaced tire iron—and now she’s broke, homeless, and living with her widowed mother and eight-year-old daughter, Izzy, in her Connecticut hometown.
Paige needs to buckle down and find a new writing gig but first, she meets the movers and shakers of Izzy’s school’s Parent Booster Association, run by the intimidatingly gorgeous Ainsley Anderson, who just happens to be married to Paige’s old high school flame, John.
Then she shows up at the annual Parents and Pinot fundraiser, held at Ainsley and John’s dazzling mansion, where she’s caught in a compromising position with John, accidentally destroys the guest bathroom, overhears an incriminating conversation, and discovers that her purse has gone missing. And later that night, Ainsley turns up dead at the bottom of her own driveway.
Did she fall? Or was she pushed?
Paige may have only written about detectives, but she is convinced she can handle a little undercover sleuthing. After all, it’ll give her an excuse to spend more time with John. Still, she can’t help but wonder: could he be capable of murder? Or could one of the PBA members have planned a dastardly crime to reach the top? But the most important question of all: will Paige ever get her life back on track?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Regrets Only was a fast enjoyable read. The storyline includes rich people behaving badly and a crazy PTA scandal, it did seem eerily similar to Big Little Lies. Paige is the main character and a lot of the story revolves around her and her daughter moving back to her Connecticut hometown after she is fired from her job in Hollywood as a screenwriter for a detective show. Also, there is quite a cast of mom characters in this book, each with their own unique personality and lifestyle. Several of the chapters alternate between the viewpoints of these different characters. With all the various subplots from each character, it kept the story moving along.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was entertaining and suspenseful. The writer took time in the beginning and then seemed to speed up or jump, with a key detail that changed everything. The lack of details on this was disappointing and made it unbelievable. Still it was a good book.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I don't think I have ever read an adult novel with a more saccharine ending. I think I have diabetes from the overload of sweetness.
If unrealistically cheesy happy endings are your thing, this may be for you!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It was really easy to get lost into the story.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was such a good book. So many secrets, so many lies. Your typical mean girls never really grow out of it. Narrators were fabulous!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Decent enough to get through, but somewhat confusing as to the characters and keeping track of who was who. A number of funny moments which is always a plus. Narration was okay.
