About this audiobook
Throughout our life, we look for ways to keep our minds sharp and effortlessly productive. Now, globetrotting neurosurgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta offers “the book all of us need, young and old” (Walter Isaacson, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Code Breaker) with insights from top scientists all over the world, whose cutting-edge research can help you heighten and protect brain function and maintain cognitive health at any age.
Keep Sharp debunks common myths about aging and mental decline, explores whether there’s a “best” diet or exercise regimen for the brain, and explains whether it’s healthier to play video games that test memory and processing speed, or to engage in more social interaction. Discover what we can learn from “super-brained” people who are in their eighties and nineties with no signs of slowing down—and whether there are truly any benefits to drugs, supplements, and vitamins. Dr. Gupta also addresses brain disease, particularly Alzheimer’s, answers all your questions about the signs and symptoms, and shows how to ward against it and stay healthy while caring for a partner in cognitive decline. He likewise provides you with a personalized twelve-week program featuring practical strategies to strengthen your brain every day.
Keep Sharp is the “must-read owner’s manual” (Arianna Huffington) you’ll need to keep your brain young and healthy regardless of your age!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I usually stay away from books that are about self improvement, but this one should not be missed. As a Psychology teacher, I saw the value in what the book is endorsing. Often we worry about our weight, or how we look, but seldom do we think about the health of our actual brain. This makes you think again.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I so much love this audio book. Keeping a healthy Brain is a rocket Science. The recommendations are very simple but the author's explanation is so comprehensive and evidence based! I will definitely recommend this book to everyone!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Must read. I needed to learn about the brain and boy did I learn.

Just what I needed
Thank you - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent book! Thank you Dr Sanjay for this priceless contribution!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thank you for making a difference by writing this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome work Sanjay. You put in such terms I could make it my own!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The info in this book could probably be presented more concisely but it's interesting to hear the many examples and experiences of the author in his own voice. My mother has dementia so my motivation is trying to avoid the situation she's in. Exercise, Diet, and Sleep. To me, that's what we need to focus on for extending our healthspan and that's supported by the info in this book.
