This was great! I enjoyed the narration and the storyline was fast-paced. This was an unconventional love story. This would make an interesting movie. Eliana, a plastic surgeon and Malakai, a scientist and college professor meet after her adoptive teenaged daughter leaves to find her biological father. He had no clue what he had a child, let alone a teenage daughter from his summer love named Portia. Portia died during childbirth and Eliana raised her. Malakai is engaged to a woman named Ziva and she's not happy with this new arrival even though Malakai has helped raise her son Easton. Drama ensues and you'll have to read this book or listen to the audiobook to see what happens. The narrator did an amazing job with making all the characters feel unique. This was a fast paced, complex story! I will be reading more from this author. I enjoyed that these characters were in their thirties.
