I needed a novella for a car ride today. Since I love Martha Keyes books, I picked this one. It is hard to develop in depth stories in shorter books, but I thought this one was well done. I enjoyed listening to the narrator. I did listen to much of it at 1.5 speed just due to my time constraints. When I slowed it down to 1.2, I did enjoy it more because I connected with the characters better.

But overall the narrator was pleasant and the story was just what I needed today.

I found this was lacking somewhat, didnt hold my attention, it was loosely put together and lacked a bit of depth.
