Lily’s gone.
Someone took her.
Unless she was she never there…

A little girl has gone missing.

Lily was last seen being tucked into bed by her adoring mother, Nova. But the next morning, the bed is empty except for a creepy toy rabbit.

Has Nova’s abusive ex stolen his “little bunny” back for good?

At first, Officer Ellie James assumes this is a clear custody battle. Until she discovers that there are no pictures of the girl and her drawers are full of unused toys and brand new clothes that have never been worn…

After suffering years of mental and physical abuse at the hands of her husband, Nova takes her young daughter and runs like hell. Having no friends or family to turn to since having been isolated from everyone by her smooth and smarmy husband Martin she flees to an isolated, furnished cabin that she has rented with the help of someone she met through an app on her phone. In the morning, her daughter Lily is gone and this story takes a twisty turn from domestic violence to psychological terror.

    Wow!

Once again I’m left breathless by one of Carissa Ann Lynch’s books. Every time I thought I could guess what was going to come next, the plot would sneak up and smack me with a curveball. I absolutely love how the author was able to keep me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book.

When the book begins, Nova is glad to have finally escaped from her abusive husband with her daughter, Lily. In the morning though, Lily is gone, and she has no choice but to go to the police. From there, secrets of Nova’s life begin to unravel. And with it comes questions. The most haunting of those, is Lily even real?

All the characters in this book are beautifully fleshed out, each of them with a solid understandable background, flaws, and strengths. It made the ending all the more satisfying. Every character has secrets and they’ll all come to light.

Narration was beautiful, bringing each character to life in a unique way.

Definitely a recommended read for lovers of psychological suspense.

Oh my! I absolutely LOVE everything about Carissa's writing style. I have adored every book I have read by her, and this was beyond exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed the detail and level of personality that was given to characters. It meant that I was kept on my toes, throughout the read, and really enjoyed trying to guess what might happen next. The pace is fantastic. It really kept the book flowing well and is exactly what I expect and love in a thrilling read. It was written so well, that I often felt a part of the story and was fully submerged into the plot, wanting to know what had happened. I honestly cannot recommend this book enough. It is truly a must read!
