- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5How many books have you read in the hopes of finally finding the ultimate way to lose weight and look better? If you're like me, you probably can't begin to name them! This book, however, is about more than outward appearances. Well, Girl inspires us to become well and fit from the inside out. Author Jami Amerine made me laugh but she also made me think as she wrote about her many struggles on her journey to wellness. Her encouragement to consider inner beauty is reinforced by Scripture that tells us of our self-worth. She is totally transparent about her own human failings and the doubts that continue to plague her but she reminds us that we can be freed from this if we have a personal relationship with Jesus. This book is written as if Amerine is talking directly to each reader and I especially liked that she begins each chapter with Bible scripture and ends them with Well, Girl Wisdom and Freedom Gain. This is an honest, encouraging, and inspiring book and I highly recommend it!I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
