Everyone remembers their first crush – the rush of adrenaline when they look your way, or, if you’re lucky, flash you a smile.
For me, it was Josh*.
At eight years old, I was head over heels.
So it was no surprise that my stomach was doing somersaults when he took a seat next to me in our last lesson of the day.
I was the envy of all the girls in my class, and felt pretty smug.
Josh flashed me a smile, and I was on cloud nine, not paying any attention to the teacher.
A few minutes later, though, I had a problem.
Out of nowhere, my stomach felt heavy, like I needed the loo.
