Officially a fan of the ice queen trope. I almost skipped over this because I thought it was fantasy fiction. Ohh no. The island of Three Dragons is just a small island off New England that houses a prestigious all girls boarding school with an ice queen headmistresses who pretends to hate cats. Pure gold.

4.5 stars. I fucking loved this. I loved the school setting, I loved Magdalene, I loved Sam, I loved the kiddos, and I even loved the cat. And I am not an animal person. This will become a regular re-read one for me for sure I’d wager.
