About this audiobook
Fairy-Tale Survival Rule No. 52: No matter how difficult the obstacles or all-powerful the evil villain, one can rest assured that the hero of the story never dies. The sidekicks, though . . . They should be worried.
Rexi Hood is proud to be an outlaw. After all, she's the daughter of the infamous Robin Hood. But sidekick? Accomplice? Sorry, that wasn't in her story description. Yeah, she and Princess Dorthea of Emerald have been inseparable since they teamed up to fight the wickedest witch. But if Rexi doesn't figure out how to break the curse that binds them, forget being overshadowed by the spirited princess-Rexi's going to become a Forgotten, wiped from the pages of Story and reduced to a puddle of ink.
Not happening. No way in Spell.
Rexi's plan? Steal the sword Excalibur and use its magic to write her own tale. But Gwenevere has opened a new Academy of Villains in Camelot and danger lurks behind every plot twist. And you know how it goes in Story: keep your friends close and your enemies closer . . .

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I wanted to love this book. The description sounded great and this is exactly the type of book I am usually into. However, I couldn't even get past the first 30 pages. It was that bad. I felt like I was reading a book that a middle school girl had written. The main character didn't want to go to class because she knew they'd be playing "stupid ass games"? That was enough to make me stop reading right there. Once the author threw in "Oh fuck a duck" and "Oh hells bells," I knew I was done. Normal teenagers do not talk like this. "Stupid ass" is not a proper description for everything. Apparently the author didn't have any friends to read her work and give it to her straight. I found myself saying, "Oh, honey.." so many times while reading this book. Other than the horrible, awful vocabulary, this book just didn't hold my interest. The main character seemed immature and I couldn't imagine this being a real love story. It might hold your attention if you are 11-13 years old but 16 , forget about it.
