Warning: spoilers ahead.

I liked the premise of the story, but Lucy irritated me so much in the beginning that I wanted to quit and switch to another book. I only kept listening because I was sure that Karma would pay Lucy a visit, and I looked forward to her comeuppance. Imagine my disappointment when not only the opposite happened, but also we find out that Hattie was betrayed by her entire family (I considered it a betrayal). To top it off, Hattie just accepts it and immediately (and happily) forgives & forgets.

I'm left feeling dissatisfied and irritated. I think I'll give any other books by this author a pass.

Nice wholesome story, so nice that Bentley made peace with his father before he passed away and that Bentley came out of his shell and enjoyed life with Hattie
